We hope you enjoy looking at our dogs and learning about weimaraners. We love our dogs and strive to breed quality
weims for loving homes. If you are looking to add a weimaraner to your family please contact us using our contact
page. We are not large breeders having only 4-5 litters per year we focus on quality not quantity - if you are interested
in our pups we honor our waiting list clients first before advertising a litter. We are locally liscensed & inspected
by the County and We have had our AKC inspection and comply with all AKC rules and regulations.
Raising quality pups is a full time job. We enjoy our weims
and spend a great deal of time ensuring they are healthy and well cared for. I could not do what I do without the help
of my family and the help of our veterinary clinics Family Friends in Grand Rapids and Country Vet in Reed City.
We are dual registering all of our dogs and litters AKC &
UKC and we actively show our weims in UKC conformation events. We strive to breed according to breed standard. We
currently are working toward Hunt titles with some of our dogs. If you are interested in showing or field trials

Not all of our dogs live here with us a few live in other homes
and enjoy being spoiled only dogs - This allows more training and one-on-one time spent with individual dogs, Currently Bo
resides with the Yaner Family and we co-own Ziva the Diva and Drehbar's Duke's Legend. In addition
to our Weimaraners we have three Shorthair Pointers - Drehbar's Bailey's in my Coffee who resides with a good friend Lee and
JEB's Dory Hammer lives here with our Male GSP JEB's Cody of Kid our GSP's are field guides and also acomplished hunters.
We have Silver, Gray, and Blue pups we also will have long haired
and smooth coated pups all are pure bred weimaraners with dual registration in the AKC and UKC available. We breed
for the AKC standard with exception to the coat color and length restrictions that we feel are not representative totally
of the weimaraner breed. We also feel by not breeding down to one coat color we can improve the quality of the breed.
Breeding Healthy weims with longer life expectancy is a primary focus in our breeding program. We respect those
of you who feel that the only true weim is a silver gray smooth coat but also understand many love the blues and long hairs
and by being dedicated to the breed I have chosen to embrace all varieties of the Weimaraner here at Drehbar.
We adhere to the Code of Ethics of the Weimaraner Club of America
(we are NOT members as we breed the blue coat) with the exception of coat color and length. We have always felt honest
& integrity are important. We actively support the Blue Weimaraner Club of America and recommend those interested
in the blues become involved with this group to support the Blue Weimaraner in America. We raise our own game birds
and train here on our farm and locally with area farmers. We believe in a calm loyal family companion hunting dog and
breed to those standards. We have never been field trail oriented and do not plan to be - we work our dogs as close
foot hunters - at this time we do not have horses - I believe in raising dogs that can be a family pet first and an occassional
hunting companion - I am more than willing to refer you to a breeder here in Michigan with hunt titled hard hunting weimaraners
if this is the direction you are looking towards please let me know.
