HE IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MANY THANKS TO REBEKAH FOR BRINGING HIM HOME TO ME AND TO ELSA FROM RAKIS PLACE FOR BREEDING
THE FINEST LONG HAIR PUPPY IN THE WORLD - HIS MANNERS ARE IMPECABLE AND HE IS A REAL SWEETIE!
Just a little over two years ago we began our search for a pair of Long Haired Weimaraners
to join us here at Drehbar. In October of last year we purchased CSD's Das FLocki Goldilocki and just this month we
are pleased to announce the arrival of "Lenny". Behind every dog there is a story - Lenny's is.....
I was born the oldest of four girls - my father Leonard Hoag raised me as if I were his first
born son. He taught me to hunt & fish along with a great sense of humor and trust in people. Most of all I
grew up without any gender barriers if I wanted to change out the motor in my car he said "do it" He always encouraged
me to try anything and his only word of caution "be the best you can be -girl!" We spent many weekends at the "farm"
hunting and planning for his retirement there - when he finally moved "up north" I traveled every weekend with my then babies
to hunt and fish and do his dishes :) In 1998 My husband and I along with our two children purchased an isolated 60
acres on the edge of the Pere Marquette state forest (about 15 miles form dad)and built our dream home - I put my insurance
career on "hold" to be a stay at home mom and raise my kids, spent the afternoons with Dad drinking coffee and making plans
for the farm and began raising weimaraners. In December of 2000 my dad suffered a massive stroke at home and died.
To say I miss him is an understatement. On the 10th Aniversary of the beginning of my Dream (to raise great weims)
together with my husband we honor my father with Drehbar's Golden Dream call name "Lenny"
Pete and I plan to raise and show Lenny He will compete here and abroad in the US he will compete
in Tracking & the field and in Canada he will be shown in conformation.
