Your dogs registration is important - it is most often linked with
a micro-chip identification and is like a passport or drivers liscense is for us humans. It should be treated as an
important document and recorded with AKC as soon as you bring your puppy home. Just with humans dogs can suffer from
identity theft and unscrupulous breeders can use your dogs identity for their gain.
You can access AKC information via their website at www.akc.org and you should do pedigree
and ownership research on all dogs and pups your are looking at purchasing.

Every puppy should come with AKC registration certificate.
If the breeder does not give you this paper they are required by AKC to provide you with both parents AKC registration numbers
and identify the puppy and litter clearly in a bill of sale.
Micro - Chip is a permanent identification for your dog it proves ownership and is attached to your registration
- We offer micro chipping on all our pups - we also have all our adult dogs micro-chipped - micro chip is necessary for hip
evaluation and recording. It is important to micro-chip your dog! If someone steals your registration but does not know
the micro chip attached to that registration you will be able to prove your ownership.
